12/15/09 Interviews with Townsend Coleman & Peter Renaday After a 2 month delay, the interviews with Townsend Coleman (original voice of Michelangelo and voice of The Tick) and Peter Renaday (original voice of Master Splinter) are now up on The Game Toon Zone. The Townsend Coleman interview was done within two days as it took nearly 3 hours to complete as Townsend went into a lot of detail which I appreciate so make so you have some time to kill before you go watch all 3 parts.
12/4/09 CNASN Game Reviews: Mega Man 1 & 2 Remixed & Extended It's been about a month since the site's last update but better late then never I suppose. The first update is the banner has been changed as well as my alias being dropped from the title (save for the URL as I can't change that). The second and main update is that the Mega Man 1 & 2 episode of CNASN Game Reviews has been replaced with a near completely new version with most of the voice clips replaced and some dialogue revised, as well as some brand new footage. An update to the opinion on the music in Mega Man 1 has also been added which I will admit could be a little controversial to some, but I did my best to make it fair for the fanbase as well.
10/13/09 Guru Larry's Retro Corner: Punch-Out 2?? Thanks to Guru Larry, we learn about how there was ...kind of a sequel to Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! released on the Nintendo Entertainment System. It's a great episode of Retro Corner and one I am sure many fans of the Punch-Out franchise will be interested in seeing as not many people know about this, even I didn't know until I saw this episode.
10/9/09 TMNT Interview with Renae Jacobs This interview was made a couple of days ago and it was probably one of the funniest. Renae knew how to be funny as well as informative so it was fun the whole way through.
9/27/09 New TMNT Interview & Pimpinfishstix Videos Two weeks ago I got to interview Robbie Rist who in all 3 live action TMNT movies was the voice of Michelangelo. He was a lot of fun to talk to yet at a few points a little awkward but even that was still enjoyable. We also have a new video from Pimpinfishstix called The Most Dangerous Game Interview which is pretty entertaining. I hope everyone will enjoy these new videos
9/18/09 TMNT Interview with Barry Gordon A week ago, me and Rich interviewed Barry Gordon who in the original 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the original voice of Donatello and Bebop. Check it out in the interview section of the site and I hope everyone enjoys it.
9/15/09 Sonic Fan Movie Trailer Our first affiliated project from AKR is a trailer to help promote a Sonic the Hedgehog film he is working on by the fans for the fans. The work of this project as a official production started a few years ago and was nearly picked up by DIC, Universal and Sega of America and would have been a theatrical picture if not for Sega of Japan. I'm not going into explicit details on the whole situation but as of last year, it was lifted as a fan project. Snags and battles have happened in the making of this but most have been worked out to help it resume and we have a trailer up now. I personally feel it's pretty good for an internet movie trailer, hopefully the film can go beyond it if it can get completed. I hope everyone enjoys it.
9/14/09 New Affiliates We have two new affiliates who are showing off their work and such here and both are good friends of mine. The first affiliate is my friend who goes under the name AKR who will give us from videos on Retro memorabilia, shows and games as well as some original and epic material. The second affiliate I believe is well known by some as Guru Larry, he's a good friend of mine and he's now ready to let some of his videos also air here on the Game Toon Zone and will hopefully make some new material for the Game Toon Zone alone as well. I hope you will enjoy what these new affiliates will deliver and it can hopefully give more to enjoy on this media website. :D
9/5/09 Show Updates I've come to some decisions for the future of the shows of this site.
9/1/09 TMNT Interviews Working on some projects on and off the site, I have uploaded two new videos, interviews with voice overs from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles properties. The first interview is with Michael McConnohie (voice of Tatsu from the first two live action movies) and Mike Pollock (voice of Garbageman and Jack Kirby in the current cartoon) which you can watch here: Click here
8/10/09 Ask Spax Episode 2 After a long wait and a week long delay with no videos, a new Ask Spax is now up.
7/19/09 New Redub and .com I hope people are enjoying the small upgrade to the site with the sub-menus leading to pages that only contain a few of the videos so there won't be as much slow down. But here's the first thing, when I bought the domain name for this website, I bought it with both .net and .com, I used the .net one to create this site for my videos as well as the videos of others who wanted to participate. As of now, the .com extension for the website now also works so to people who have tried coming here before but mistakenly used .com instead of .net, it will no longer be a mistake as both extensions will lead to this site.
7/19/09 Illness Causes Delays I got good news and bad news, the good news is that this website has been upgraded so it now has more pages and can hopefully decrease bandwidth on the pages so load times can be faster.
7/12/09 New Affiliated Video This would have been uploaded sooner but I accidently deleted most of the content on the website and it became unrestoreable but as I didn't publish it, I used all the data I could on the published website which was available for all to view to help me restore all I could and luckily I was able to restore and repair all damage so the Game Toon Zone is still up to date with no damage (except on the Fan Submissions but nothing still online was lost).
6/27/09 Double Videos It took me longer then I planned to finish the formatting of the next episode of CNASN Game Adventures but after many mishaps in the formatting process, I finally got it ready and uploaded. The review of Sonic Unleashed for the Wii and PS2 is now online.
5/23/09 Tribute to Wayne Allwine A few days ago a great tragedy happened in the toon world, Wayne Allwine who was the voice of Mickey Mouse passed away. His wife Russi Taylor who is both one of the all time vocal greats and the voice of Minnie Mouse was at his bedside when he died.
5/9/09 Sonic Chronicles CNASN Game Reviews episode After a long wait, Part 3 of the Sonic 2008 reviews is now up with Sonic Chronicles.
4/26/09 New Additions After 2 weeks of delay, a new video is finally up on the site. In the Affiliated Productions, a new review for Sonic Heroes is up. If you are into random humor and WIN then go check it out. 4/22/09 Delays and Updates 4/3/09
Pimpinfishstix Restored
If you noticed the news and video by Pimpinfishstix was removed, due to some issues and mistakes, he was suspended from the site for a little bit but the problems and mistakes have been solved and it was a mistake on my staff's end which caused this problem so Pimpinfishstix is being restored to the affiliated productions. A new video will also be coming from him soon as well.
3/31/09 First Ask Spax Episode and Status Update
First thing I want to announce is that the first episode of Ask Spax is now up on the Game Toon Zone and I hope you will all enjoy it. Sorry it's a couple days late from the usual video upload time, we just have a lot to work on and deal with right now so there may be some delays with other videos but Ask Spax will always be ready in the mean time to make up for whenever that happens. Right now I can promise that you can expect some new Game Review episodes soon which are in production right now as well as the first Toon Review and hopefully soon the first Game Adventure as well.
3/11/09 Ask Spax Coming Soon
I will be starting a Q&A show here soon which is a remake of an old one I used to host. To join in on it, you need to be a part of the forum here on the site. I'm starting this for when CNASN Game Reviews ends the season during the summer and to give me time for produce CNASN Game Adventures as it's a heavy thing to create. The Ask Spax episodes only take a day to create so it can usually allow me something to give out during every two weeks that come up.
2/20/09 CNASN Game Reviews: The Complete First Season
I figured it was time that the entire show which has been around for a couple of years should just be here on the site in it's entirety, so the complete 11 episode first season of CNASN Game Reviews is now available on the site. I've also made another update by removing the staff page and putting listed staff on the other appropriate pages and adding in a page for affiliated productions to have their videos posted here as well so more can be added to the site for your entertainment and such. 2/2/09 All Systems Are Go!
All videos are now back up on the site, I apologize for those who went a few days last week without being able to watch anything but the problem is resolved now so enjoy.
2/1/09 Video Problem
An apology to everyone who is trying to watch videos here, the site where most of the videos are hosted from is down and there's nothing I can do about it. Until the site problem is fixed, all videos (except for Fan Submissions) are going to be down. If this problem continues then I will find another site to host the videos from so they can air. This is also unfortunate as I was going to upload a video today but due to this problem, it can't be done so I hope all of you can wait a couple more weeks. Once again, I apologize but there is nothing I can do at the moment.
1/19/09 New Video Update
I know it's been a while, but a new video is finally uploaded to the site. Spax's Top Ten Games of 2008. New Game Reviews episodes are now in the works so expect some in a couple of weeks from now. Enjoy the new video 1/7/09 CNASN Game Reviews Delay To some of you, you may have noticed that a review was not uploaded when it should have been. Well I've been on Christmas vacation and working on some other projects and none of the other staff have anything new or ready to work on right now. Though during this vacation, I have not just been relaxing, I have also been filming the live action footage in the woods for the first Game Adventures episode of the CNASN Game/Toon Reviews/Adventures show which I hope many of you will enjoy when released. The Game Adventures episodes are big team projects directed by me and put together with the help of many of my friends and staff. The first episode is so far the most simple of Game Adventures, but that is to help us get started and prepared for what we will be doing in this series. I am also working on a new Top Ten and 5 parts of a new CNASN Game Reviews episode which I hope all of you will be looking forward too. Till next time. (See news from past years in the archives)
